Permits Permitted!

Arriving home from Theo's swimming lessons last night, I (Hilary) checked the mailbox before heading up to the house. Amid the bills, junk mail and a photo radar speeding ticket — damn you, Sherwood cops! — was an envelope from the Yamhill County Planning Commission. Inside was fantastic news! We finally received our conditional use permit to build a tasting room on our estate vineyard — and a winery, too, in the distant future.

Roots' tasting room will be quaint — and in our detached garage — but it will be ours! We are so excited to share it with you once it is complete. Fingers crossed, we hope to open before summer's end. Stay tuned to this blog for updates on its construction. Cheers!

To the left of the photo is our garage, where the tasting room and deck will be located. Views abound from this spot on our property. Just wait and see!
